Squash & Racketball Club Night 

Our Monday Squash & Racketball Club Night is run by our resident Squash Coach. This session is focused on club level players who enjoy playing competitive games and the coach will also be available to give advice on how to improve your game. This session is open to both male and female players. Juniors are welcome at the coach’s discretion.

Adult Squash: Build & Improve

This session is tailored for players who are looking to build the basics of squash and wanting to develop more consistency, confidence, and a deeper knowledge of the game.

Racket-Fit

Racket-Fit is a fun activity class for everyone based on racketball fitness, movements and skills. It’s a dynamic way to get fit and improve muscle tone. Both males and females, aged 16 and over are welcome. No racketball playing experience is necessary. A typical class involves a warm up, fun drills and activities to develop racketball skills and movements. Everybody is encouraged to work at their own level.

Adult Squash: Refine & Develop 

This session includes 45 minutes of coaching and 45 minutes of game play and is designed for players who already have fundamentals in place but are looking to refine their skills and take their game to the next level. Males and females are welcome, juniors at the coach’s discretion.

Junior Squash Coaching Courses

Our Beginners courses offer an ideal introduction to the sport and are also suitable for those that can maintain a rally. The Intermediate sessions are for those that have a wider range of shots and a better understanding of tactics and game play. The Advanced sessions will look further at the development of technique, moving correctly, fitness and tactics.

Ages are for a guideline only as some players will progress with ability rather than age, our coach is more than happy to give further advice on this.

We have two Junior Squash Teams playing in the Kent Junior Leagues and invite anyone wanting to play in the Junior Teams to come along to our coaching sessions and talk to our coach Tom. New players are welcome.

Individual Squash Lessons

Individual Squash Fitness

Squash requires multiple fitness elements; speed, strength, power, endurance and flexibility. Book a session with Tom, who will use his experience as a personal trainer, coupled with his knowledge of squash and racketball fitness requirements, to develop a specific training program. This will be tailored to individual needs and will improve your fitness for the game. Sessions will take place on court and in the gym and can be booked through Reception.

 

Competitions

Annual Squash Competition

The successful Canterbury Kings Squash Open Graded Tournament, sponsored by CA Drillers, JCA Architecture, Handelsbanken, Finn’s, DIVA Metalworks, Autoworld, Bretts, Creative Clicks, Team Buckley, Chavereys, Greenfields Country Store, BSF, Project Signs and CM Stringers has run for the last eighteen years, with this year’s event taking place on the 19th – 21st April 2024.

The standard of player ranges from recreational to World Ranked, with everyone getting to play at least twice over the weekend, as a plate competition runs alongside the main draw of each grade (PSA, B, C, D & E).

The 2024 PSA Closed Satellite final, saw World Ranked No 87 Perry Malik come up against World Ranked No 305 Sam Osborne-Wylde, with Sam winning the final 3-0 (11-8, 11-1, 11-7).

 

Football

Junior football fun for boys and girls aged 5-10 years, conducted to F.A guidelines by our F.A qualified coaches.
