On Sunday, Canterbury Kings U16 Boys became the NBL South Regional Champions with an impressive win over Worthing Thunder.
With 1 game still to play, they have wrapped up the season with the title, currently sat at 7-0.
Folkestone Saint v Kings – 54-57
An overtime win against a very strong Folkestone team (in folkestone), coming from 15points down at halftime. Connor and Sol taking over in the clutch moments.
Kings v Worthing 3 – 73-45
A dominate and controlled performance with balanced play time from all the players. Highlighted with 2 spectacular dunks from Nelson.
Tunbridge Wells BBallin v Kings 31-55
An incredible performance, missing several key players and only taking 7. Only to lose 1 through injury during the game as well.
Worthing 3 v Kings – 61-84
Once again controlling the game from beginning to end, rotating everyone and standout performances from many players.
Kings v Tunbridge Wells BBallin – 76-71
A much improved BBallin squad, who had recruited players over the season gave us a really intense matchup, but we rose to the challenge and grinded out the win.
Kings v Folkestone Saints – 68-67
The best game of the season. Played in great spirits with an incredible atmosphere. It was neck and neck until the final moments, with Lex hitting a clutch FT for the win.
Kings v Worthing 4 – 79-67
Sealing the league title, remaining undefeated and overcoming the only team that could potentially spoil it. Worthing were very good, very well coached, but our class shone through in the 4th quarter and was the difference in a game that was all-but tied until that point.
